My love for photography goes way back to when I was a little kid. My parents used to always give me disposable cameras & let me run wild. I can remember being in my childhood bedroom & taking pictures of my toys, neighborhood friends & myself. I'm not sure how many of these cameras I went through, but I can recall the recurring trips to Walgreens to get film developed, and pick up a fresh Kodak. To this day I have a box full of hundreds of prints, all images that I captured as a little girl on my first cameras.

This love for photos grew as I got older... My grandfather is a seasoned photographer & mentored me into the craft at an early age. On my 13th birthday he surprised me with my first professional camera, a Nikon D300, & invited me to assist him on a wedding. So at 13 years old, I got the exciting opportunity of professionally jumping behind the lens. My grandpa continued to share his passion of photography with me for years, & to this day still teaches me so much. Knowing my way around a camera, and the difference between shutter speed & aperture, is all thanks to him. 

I went on to take several photography classes in high school, learning more & more about the ins & outs of photo taking. After high school I got a job with a professional portrait studio, which gave me the opportunity to spend everyday working with families, kids, newborns, & even once a hedgehog! This is where I learned so much of what I know now about creating a smooth photoshoot flow.

The magic I hope to cultivate in my photos is seeing peoples true essence shine through.
